How to add an Aruba Mobility Controller to Mobility Master

In this post, we will discuss how to add a mobility controller to the mobility master.

Once you boot up the image, you will get a window to configure basic settings on the controller using the CLI.

I have configured the basic settings. which is shown in the picture.

Conductor switch IP address 192.168.1.200 is the VIP (virtual IP address) of my mobility master or conductor.

I have a flat network, and everything is in the default VLAN.

Now for the next configuration, we will do it using the Web UI of the mobility master or conductor.

Login to your MM using VIP 192.168.1.200.

Click on Mobility Conductor’s global view.

then select the controller tab and click the + icon. (which is shown in the picture).

It’s always good practice to add or whitelist individual controller.

you can also specify local controller IP 0.0.0.0 rather than adding controller one by one. Once you define it, you don’t need to add individual controllers.

Now specify the MAC address of controller and type is MC-VA as we are deploying virtual controller and click on submit.

it will take sometime. you can for 2 min and then verify from CLI.
