If you face the same issue, then we need to consider the points below. Aruba central,HPE greenlake.

1. Check the VLAN settings on Aruba IAP, Aruba Controller, and Aruba Central. Check if you have added the correct VLAN to the SSID.

2. Check if your DHCP server is reachable on the network.

3. Check if the DHCP pool is configured on the DHCP server.

4. Check if you have specified DHCP range and the pool must be activated.

5. If only a few clients get an IP address, then we need to check if the IP address is available in the configured pool.

6. If you have a firewall like Paloalto, a WAN router, or Core, then we need to check if you have configured the SVI or interface IP (gateway).

7. The SVI or IP address must be reachable from outside and inside.

8. Check if you have DHCP relay configured on your network interface or SVI.

9. If your SVI or interface IP is not reachable, then there Could be a routing issue.

10. Check if you have configured a VLAN on the Paloalto sub-interface (gateway).

11. Check if you have specified and configured VLAN on the Aruba IAP, controller, and uplink (interface) switch ports.

12. If you have multiple switches in your network, then we need to check and identify that a specific VLAN must be configured and allowed on all switch trunk ports.

13. You can turn on DHCP debug on the AP or controller and check if DHCP packets generated by clients are received on the IAP or Aruba controller. You can also debug DHCP packets on other network devices using Wireshark or the CLI, depending on the vendor you have.

For Aruba Controller:

14. If you have an Aruba AP uplink switch management VLAN other than VLAN 1, like VLAN 10, for the AP management VLAN and you are using VLAN 1 for the user and VLAN 1 is used as tagged VLAN 1, then we need to change the setting in Aruba IAP or Aruba Central.

15. Check if you have proper WAN or network connectivity. In some scenarios, DHCP packets dropped and aged out due to a WAN link flap.

16. If you configured Pre-auth or any local user role or downloadable user role, then DHCP 67 and DHCP 68 ports or ACLs must be allowed.

17. If you specify a client limit on the AP and the AP exceeds the limit, clients won’t get an IP address.

18. At the end, you can reboot the Aruba VC (cluster) or Aruba controller, and you can also try to reload your core switch.

19. If you have Instant AP, then you can try to change Master AP.
